Your Inner Child

Greetings Beloved!

It’s the beginning of a new week, and I want to encourage you to be excited about the limitless opportunities and possibilities. Here is a kind reminder that life isn't about how you react to it but how you response. Remember to breathe, drink water, love yourself and laugh those are just a few of the ingredients to make your week successful.

I'm excited about our Wednesday night meditation, "Nurturing our inner child". I believe that we all have a hidden child inside of us. In our day-to-day activities we behave as adults however, the childhood that we lived and experienced still lies inside us in the form of memories. Depending upon how we have spent our childhood, the child inside us may be happy, sad, adventurous, timid, brave, frightened, extrovert or introvert. Whatever the experience has been for us, as adults there is a reflection of our inner child.

The inner child is often described as the artistic, creative, imaginative and dreamer part of us. It is the fun loving, playful, wonder seeking entity that resides within us. This week’s meditation will take us on a journey to our inner child.

Below are some affirmations that will help you validate your inner child. Give yourself permission to take a couple of deep breaths and focus on your heart center. Allow yourself the freedom of breathing life into your body. Once you feel grounded begin to say the affirmations and with every inhale breathe life into your body and with every exhale release any fears or resistance that is preventing you from connecting with your beautiful inner child.

Today I choose me.

  • I choose to create an atmosphere of peace and safety for myself.

  • Boundary setting helps me to create safety within my life.

  • My mind, body, and spirit belong to me.

  • Love and tranquility surround my interactions and my decisions today.

  • I replace hate, anger, agitation with others with intentional and positive interactions.

  • I release the feeling of isolation.

  • I release the feeling of guilt, hurt and shame.

Much love and light,
Dorothy
